INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis International Airport is gearing up for what could be its busiest Fall Break travel season yet, with increased passenger volume expected from Monday to Oct. 24.
The airport anticipates record-breaking traffic, possibly ranking among the top 10 busiest days in its history.
Airlines have increased seat capacity by 6% compared to 2024, and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints will open at 3 a.m. on peak days to accommodate the influx of travelers.
Travelers are strongly encourage0d to arrive at the airport two hours before their flight departure to ensure a smooth check-in and security process.
TSA PreCheck is available only at Checkpoint A, and passengers should have their government-issued identification ready for inspection.
