INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –The Colts are coming off their first loss of the season against the Rams last week.
They return home this week to face off against the Raiders, and the team is bringing a sense of urgency in their preparation.
“I think its a super high sense of urgency,” Colts quarterback Daniel Jones said. “I think we’re all determined to get back out there and play well. I don’t think there’s an idea that we need to necessarily turn things around. I think it’s about getting back to what we do and executing well, learning from what we didn’t do as well last week and continuing to improve as a team every week.”
“I think there is a ton of urgency every week in this league,” Colts head coach Shane Steichen said. “Obviously you got to put that behind you and move on. Got to cleaned up on Monday. Then our guys are in the right mindset, just have that energy that we need and that laser focus in our preparation this week.”
“Just to move on from last game, take everything that we made a mistake on, take on everything that we did well,” Colts safety Cam Bynum said. “And learn from every single thing that has happened. Just being able to come back home and play, is going to be exciting. It’s going to be a great atmosphere, playing against another AFC opponent, and it’s just gonna be a fun one.”
The Colts are undefeated at home so far this season (2-0) and look to keep it going this week against the Raiders, who are 1-3 to start the season.
The Colts have won their last two games against the Raiders.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
