INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Fog is expected to be an issue for parts of Indiana this morning, with dense fog particularly affecting areas south of Indianapolis.

Today:

By midday, the fog is expected to lift gradually, although areas north of Indianapolis may experience lingering fog if rain is delayed. The afternoon will be mostly dry with increasing cloud cover, and temperatures will rise to the mid-50s, slightly above the average high of 48°.

Rain moves in tonight:

In the evening, temperatures around 50° are expected for those attending the Pacers game, with showers potentially developing, especially south along the Ohio River. Rain is anticipated to become widespread across central Indiana by midnight.

Rain totals through Tuesday night are expected to range from 0.25″ to 0.50″.

Turning cold:

A sharp cold front is forecast to arrive on Wednesday, bringing windy conditions and much colder temperatures as Arctic air settles in. While a few flurries are possible, major travel impacts are not expected, and temperatures will fall through the 40s.

Thanksgiving:

Thanksgiving Day will be chilly with a high near 34°, breezy conditions, and wind chills at lunchtime in the low 20s. Black Friday will be dry but cold, with a high around 36°.

Messy weekend?

Looking ahead to Saturday, a more potent system could bring snow showers during the day, with highs near 39°. On Sunday, snow showers are expected to switch to rain as temperatures warm, reaching highs in the mid-40s. The Colts game may involve some rain.
