KOKOMO, Ind.–40 people were arrested in what the Kokomo Police Department referred to as “Operation Butterball.”
This all began in April of 2025 as an investigation by the department’s Special Investigation/Drug Task Force. Throughout the next 15 months, investigators say they made 55 undercover controlled buys involving methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.
40 people were arrested, but police say there are still multiple suspects that remain at large. On Tuesday, they also said that more arrests would be made in the future.
A Tuesday news release says there was assistance from multiple agencies during this operation including the Kokomo Police K-9 Unit, Howard County Sheriff’s Department, Howard County Adult Probation, and the DEA.
