INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person was in critical condition, and another was detained, following a shooting Thursday evening in a parking garage near the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, police say.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were sent around 6:10 p.m. Thursday to a parking garage in the 100 block of South Capitol Avenue on reports of shots fired.
The Plaza Park parking garage sits at the southeast corner of West Maryland Street and South Capitol Avenue, just east of the convention center.
Officers found a person suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
No additional information was immediately available from IMPD, including whether the area is safe.
