INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A boy and a man were in “stable, but serious” condition following a Thursday afternoon shooting in Martindale-Brightwood, police said.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded around 5:21 p.m. Thursday to The Martindale Apartments at the 3100 block of Baltimore Terrace on the report of a person shot. That’s off East 30th Street northeast of downtown Indianapolis, just northwest of the intersection of East 30th Street and North Keystone Avenue.
Officers found the boy and the man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The names and ages of the two males shot were not immediately shared publicly.
Indianapolis EMS media took both to area hospitals.
No additional information was immediately available on the shooting, including whether the area was safe and whether a suspect was in custody.
