Man dies after being struck by vehicle
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man died after a car hit him east of downtown Indianapolis, police said.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian struck at about 9:30 Thursday night near the first block of State Avenue between East Washington Street and Southeastern Avenue.
Officers arrived to find the man with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. He was taken to the hospital, but later died, IMPD said.
It was not immediately clear what led to the man being struck by a vehicle.
