INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was arrested in connection with a shooting that left two people injured on Indianapolis’ northeast side last month.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the man, who has not been named, was arrested Thursday for a shooting on Aug. 16 in the 6200 block of East 38th Street.
The shooting happened in the early morning hours, just after 3 a.m. that Sunday.
Police first reported that they responded to person shot and found a male victim in stable condition.
Shortly after, police said a woman walked into the hospital with gunshot injuries. She was stable but police believed she was shot at the same location as the male victim.
IMPD said the suspect was arrested outside the department’s jurisdiction and will be extradited at a later date.
