Marcus’ 4 a.m. Thursday forecast
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — September looks to close with well above average temperatures and dry conditions.
Today:
The showers are expected to taper off by midday, allowing for drier air to move in and clear the clouds, resulting in a surge of sunshine this afternoon. Highs will be running near the seasonal norm.

Tonight:
Patchy fog may develop overnight, particularly in northern areas, as temperatures drop to the lower to mid-50s, with some spots potentially reaching the upper 40s.

Friday:
Starting Friday, central Indiana will enjoy warm and dry conditions that are expected to last through the weekend and into early next week. A large ridge of high pressure will push in above-normal temperatures, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

This weekend:
The weekend forecast looks great with mostly clear skies and light northerly winds. Morning lows will remain in the 50s, while afternoon highs will range from the upper 70s to the low 80s by Sunday.

Next week:
Looking ahead to early next week, the warm, rain-free trend is expected to continue. Although there may be some influence from a couple of Atlantic tropical systems, bringing an increase in winds and slightly higher humidity, the highs will stay above the seasonal norms for this time of year.
