INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Over 80 incarcerated women from the Indiana Women’s Prison graduated from Ivy Tech Community College Thursday.
The graduation is through a program created by the Indiana Department of Correction, who partnered with Ivy Tech and The Last Mile.
The graduation included speeches from Gov. Mike Braun, Commissioner Lloyd Arnold, and motivational speaker Ramona Johnson. The graduates were recognized for their achievements in literacy, high school equivalency, business technology, culinary arts, and more.
