SALEM, Ind. (WISH) — A 22-year-old man from southern Indiana has been arrested on child pornography charges, according to Indiana State Police.
In late July 2024, Indiana State Police Detective Travis Baker began an investigation into an alleged child sexual abuse case in Washington County. As part of this case, Baker secured a search warrant for a social media account linked to Eric S. Crawford, resulting in thousands of files for review. During this process, photos of another juvenile victim unrelated to the initial investigation were discovered.
Baker sent his investigation findings to the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office for review and potential filing of charges. On Monday, an arrest warrant was formally issued for Crawford. The warrant was for three counts of possession of child pornography.
On Tuesday, Crawford was arrested in Harrison County and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
