INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A musical staple of the Indianapolis 500 weekend, the Legends Day concert, has been canceled, Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials confirmed to News 8 on Saturday.
IMS did not specify why the concert was canceled.
Amanda Stanley, director of communications at IMS, said in a statement that though the Legends Day concert is canceled this year, they plan on working with Live Nation in the future to coordinate another “epic concert.”
There will not be a Legends Day concert this year. We look forward to working with Live Nation in future years to host another epic concert at Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in Indianapolis.
Those looking for a concert to add to their Month of May celebration are encouraged to check out the Miller Lite Carb Day concert featuring Counting Crows and Switchfoot or the Coors Light Snake Pit concert featuring Zedd, Crankdat, Wooli, it’s murph and Wax Motif.Amanda Stanley, IMS Director of Communications
All other Legends Day festivities, including the public drivers’ meeting and autograph sessions, will go on as planned.
