Coworkers react to death of WIBC traffic reporter Matt Bair

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Longtime WIBC traffic reporter Matt Bair has died, the radio station announced Monday. He was 48 years old.

Bair served as a familiar voice on WIBC, both over the air and on socials, spending eight years keeping listeners updated on the roads around Indianapolis.

He also served as co-host of the podcast “Supporting Sobriety,” which was dedicated to “providing hope to the unsung heroes behind those struggling with addiction.”

The station’s parent company, Radio One, says it is heartbroken by the loss.

Bair’s family has asked for privacy during this time.
