INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Pleasant and dry weather can be expected during the weekend and early next week. The next chance of any decent rain chance for Central Indiana is at least a week away.

FRIDAY EVENING/NIGHT:

Scattered clouds with comfortable lows mainly in the 50s.

SATURDAY:

Mix of sun & clouds.  Winds from the ENE may be a little breezy at times.  Highs should be mainly in the mid to upper 70s, but a few lower 80s could also occur.  The air will remain very dry.

SATURDAY NIGHT:

Partly cloudy and seasonably cool for late May.  Lows are forecast to fall into the mid to low 50s.  Be on the lookout for the bright full moon.  This will be what is known as a “blue moon” since it will be the 2nd full moon of the month.

SUNDAY:

Variably cloudy skies.  At times the sky could feature more clouds than sunshine but no rain is expected.  Look for highs in the mid 70s.

7 DAY FORECAST:

Meteorological summer begins on Monday.  This includes the months of June, July, and August.  We are going to start out the new season on a very nice note with highs in the 70s to low 80s and lows in the 50s. While we can’t totally rule out a stray shower somewhere on Monday, odds are that any significant rain/storm chance will wait until next Friday.

SPRING RECAP:

Through May 28th, meteorological spring (March, April, May) in Indianapolis ranks as the 8th wettest with 17.91” of moisture and also the 4th warmest with and average temperature of 57.2°.  Data won’t be complete until the end of the month.
