NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A 17-year-old Noblesville boy died Wednesday morning after his car hit a utility pole, Noblesville Police Department said in a news release.
Shehzil Aamir died in the crash, which happened at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday in the 13600 block of 156th Street. That’s north of Ruoff Music Center and east of Olio Road.
Noblesville police say Aamir was driving a 2020 Toyota Camry westbound at a high speed when he lost control and veered off the road. No other vehicles were involved.
The Noblesville Police Department’s crash-reconstruction unit was called to the scene to investigate and collect evidence.
As of Wednesday afternoon, both lanes of 156th Street between Granite Peak Boulevard and Olio Road remained restricted or closed while Duke Energy worked to repair the utility pole.
