BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Two Highland Park Elementary School students admitted to sending social media threats that prompted a sheriff’s investigation this week.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received information about the threats involving three students Monday at the at the Monroe County Community School Corp. facility. Deputies immediately began an investigation.
During the search for answers, investigators identified two juvenile suspects. The sheriff’s office will not release names or identifying information because the individuals involved are minors.
Authorities sent the case to juvenile probation officers and filed a report with the Indiana Department of Child Services.
