INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A double shooting on Indianapolis’ east side left one man dead and sent another to the hospital.
Just before midnight Saturday night, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 1900 block of Lasalle Street.
IMPD Lt. Kevin Duley said responding officers found two adult men shot. One was stable and taken to the hospital. The other died at the scene.
Duley said IMPD did not believe there was an ongoing threat to the public but that it was possible a suspect was “no longer at the scene.”
IMPD would not release information on the suspect Saturday night, saying it was too early in the investigation to do so.
