INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man has died after he was found shot on a rainy Monday afternoon in a residential and industrial area northeast of downtown Indianapolis, police said.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called just after 3:50 p.m. Monday to a report of a person shot in the 2800 block of North Euclid Avenue. That’s off East 30th Street southwest of the Massachusetts Avenue intersection, and along railroad tracks that run parallel to Massachusetts Avenue.
Investigators think some sort of disturbance led to the shooting. They were awaiting a judge’s decision on a search warrant to allow them to go into a home at the end of the block.
Police initially reported the man was taken in critical condition to a hospital, which is where he later died.
IMPD does not have a suspect in custody and asked anyone with information to contact homicide detectives at 317-327-3475, or contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana to remain anonymous.
