ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Members of the Zionsville Fire Department emergency medical services team have been invited to represent the United States at the Arab PreHospital Emergency Medicine 2025 Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Paramedics Abdullakh Abamislimov and Jeremy Anker from Zionsville will compete in the EMS competition, with preliminary rounds on Oct. 6 and finals on Oct. 8. The invitation followed Zionsville’s first-place finish at the Journal of Emergency Medical Services’ Clinical Competition during the Fire Department Instructors Conference on April 11 in downtown Indianapolis.
The UAE government will host the conference, bringing together emergency medical professionals from around the world to advance prehospital care. Teams from the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia, and the UAE were scheduled to participate.
The UAE government also will cover all travel and expenses for the Zionsville team, allowing it to focus entirely on the competition and their performance, according to a news release issued Thursday from Alexa Lingg, communication manager for the town government.
The Boone County town of Zionsville, with about 33,500 residents, is located on the northwest border of Indianapolis.
