INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Soggy conditions throughout the day with a few thunderstorms. Severe weather chances are low and confined to the southern part of Indiana today. A few gusty winds and some hail will be possible south of Indianapolis. More rain is expected later in the week.

TODAY: Showers and even a few thunderstorms will be possible throughout much of Indiana on and off during the day.. Rain chances exist all day but they become more scattered and lighten up a little bit later in the afternoon and early evening. We will likely see a few breaks in the rain. Winds may gust at times near 20 mph. High temperatures will be near 50 which is right around normal for this time of year. 

TONIGHT: Showers come to an end we’ll look for mostly cloudy conditions later tonight. Low temperatures will fall near 42. Winds switch out of the northeast between 5 and 10 mph. Patchy fog develops right around Daybreak on Wednesday.

TOMORROW: It will be a dry day on Wednesday but look for lots of cloud cover. Winds will not be as gusty and will be out of the east at about 5 to 10 mph. High temperatures will be right around 53.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Another system moves in Thursday evening and into Friday. Look for a chance for some showers late in the day on Thursday otherwise skies remain mostly cloudy. It will be much warmer with high temperatures climbing close to 58 degrees. On Friday a storm system moves through bringing a good chance for some showers, maybe even a few rumbles of thunder as well with high temperatures near 56 degrees. 

It looks like a majority of the rain could come to an end before Friday night football games. On Saturday a few lingering showers early in the morning otherwise dry conditions for the afternoon. Over the weekend we will look for partly cloudy skies on Sunday with high temperatures into the middle fifties. Look for dry conditions and warmer temperatures to start off the new work week highs on Monday will be near 60 under mostly sunny skies.
