Juvenile dies after drowning in Greensburg pond

GREENSBURG, Ind. (WISH) — A juvenile pulled from a pond in Greensburg last week has died, Indiana Conservation Officers confirmed.

In a release from Indiana DNR, the department said they were notified before 9 p.m that a parent found the child unresponsive near a dock on a private pond on July 17.

The parent immediately began performing life-saving measures until help arrived. The child was then rushed to University of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for further treatment.

On July 23, Conservation Officers were notified that the child had passed away at the hospital.
