Kelsay Farms ready for busy fall and holiday season

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Kelsay Farms, run by sixth- and seventh-generation farmers, is welcoming visitors for its 19th annual fall season, offering family-friendly activities.

Located in Whiteland, Kelsay Farms has been a staple south of Indianapolis in Johnson County for nearly two decades, providing seasonal attractions such as a 7-acre corn maze, hayrides, and a cow train. The farm is open to the public on weekends and during fall break in October, expecting thousands of visitors to enjoy the festivities.

Amy Kelsay and Jenna Kelsay visited News 8’s “Daybreak” on Saturday morning as part of the weekly Indiana Grown segment.

“Honestly, it is truly a family affair,” said Amy Kelsay, highlighting the involvement of their children in the farm’s operations.

“We have a 7-acre corn maze. The theme this year is all fall candy,” said Jenna Kelsay, describing the attractions available at the farm.

In addition to the corn maze, visitors can enjoy interacting with animals on display and playing in the corn pit. The farm’s attractions are designed to provide entertainment for all ages.

One of the highlights of visiting Kelsay Farms is sampling their signature milkshakes. This year, they have introduced a “spooky shake” featuring brownies, cake balls, and whipped cream, as well as a new corn shake with popcorn and candy corn.

The farm operates with special hours during October, opening from 6-9 p.m. Fridays, noon-9 p.m. Saturdays, noon-6 p.m. Sundays. During the weeks of fall break, the farm will be open daily from noon-6 p.m.
