INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday night on Indy’s northwest side.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers responded to the area of Georgetown Road and Oakforge Drive around 8:30 p.m. on the report of a crash involving a motorcycle.
Officers arrived to the scene to find a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Police say the driver of the SUV remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
IMPD says northbound Georgetown Road will be closed “for quite some time” and that drivers will need to find an alternative route, such as Guion Road.
