LYNN, Ind. (WISH) — An officer in Randolph County died Wednesday morning after being hit by a vehicle during a police chase, Indiana State Police confirmed Wednesday.
ISP Sgt. Keegan with Pendleton district says Lynn Town Marshal Brad Fisher sustained fatal injuries while attempting to deploy stop sticks near the intersection U.S. 27 and U.S. 36 in Lynn.
It’s unclear what prompted the police chase, if anyone else was hurt, or if there are any suspects.
The Indiana Department of Transportation confirmed all lanes of travel are closed at the intersection.
