More than 200,000 attend 500 Festival Parade in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The 500 Festival Parade stepped off Saturday morning in downtown Indianapolis.
Floats and bands celebrated the parade’s 70th anniversary.
Organizers say more than 200,000 people lined the streets to watch.
All 33 Indianapolis 500 drivers drove the parade route.
The race will be Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with Roger Penske expected to announce “Drivers, start your engines” from the Victory Podium at 12:38 p.m.
