Carmel and Fishers take top 2 spots for best places to live
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — Three Hamilton County cities made the top 20 list of the 250 Best Places to Live in 2026-2027 by U.S. News & World Report
Carmel, was No. 1, Fishers was No. 2, and Noblesville was No. 18. The American media company announced its rankings Tuesday.
Data from the report for Carmel: population of 103,768; average commute of 21 minutes; median home value of $477,625; median monthly rent of $1,457; and median household income of $144,615.
Data from the report for Fishers: population of 102,895; average commute of 24 minutes; median home value of $405,882; median monthly rent of $1,404; and median household income of $135,502.
Data from the report for Noblesville: population of 75,673; average commute of 23 minutes; median home value of $370,537; median monthly rent of $1,248; and median household income of $108,968.
The online rankings include a button that lets people search for real estate agents in each community on the list.
