INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person died and two others were hurt in a shooting at a home on Indy’s east side early Sunday morning.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers were called to the 3100 block of Forest Manor Avenue around 4:10 a.m. Sunday. That’s in a neighborhood near East 30th Street and North Sherman Drive.
Police arrived and found two people suffering gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene, while the other was “awake and breathing.”
Officers also found a third person with a gunshot wound nearby in the 3000 block of Gladstone Avenue, believing they had been shot at the Forest Manor scene.
That victim was also “awake and breathing.”
It was unclear what led up to the shooting or if there are any suspects. A public information officer was expected to release more details sometime Sunday morning.
News 8 has a crew heading to the scene.
