INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a wet Friday, we’ll transition into a nice weekend with the return of sunshine. Thanksgiving week will then feature more rain chances and our next shot for cooler air.
Friday night: Scattered to widespread rain persists into tonight. Lows in the low 40s.

Saturday: After several days in a row of thick cloud cover, we will get to embrace the return of sunshine. A few lingering showers before daybreak will give rise to clearing skies into the daytime hours. Highs will get into the low 50s.
Sunday: Even nicer weather is ahead for Sunday with plenty of sunshine and highs that will push into the mid to upper 50s.

7-Day Forecast: We look to sneak to around 60 by next Tuesday, but this comes with another rain chance. More showers are possible Monday night into Tuesday. Then, all eyes turn towards the all-important Thanksgiving Day forecast. We can say that there will be a cooler pattern taking shape near and after Thanksgiving, but uncertainty remains with any precipitation chance details into late next week and weekend.

We’ll have to watch how Tuesday’s upper level disturbance and a disturbance from Canada interact with each other. A faster phasing of these systems will equal an even colder Thanksgiving, and a slower (more eastward) phasing means it won’t get as cold (still cooler nonetheless). Right now, our Thanksgiving forecast is leaning towards highs in the upper 30s with temps starting Thursday off in the upper 20s.
