Festival Country offering America’s 250th anniversary memorabilia

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — Festival Country Indiana has created limited-edition posters and puzzles commemorating America’s 250th anniversary, and is now selling them at the Visitor Center in Franklin, Indiana.

America’s semiquincentennial marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. National, state, and local celebrations are scheduled to begin in early 2026.

To remember this historic milestone, Festival Country is releasing four different 16×24-inch posters, each of which features Johnson County’s iconic courthouse. Additionally, one poster design is also available to purchase as a 150-piece puzzle. Only 250 posts and 250 puzzles are available.

“Festival Country has a long tradition of commemorating iconic locations and milestones in its poster series, and this latest installment is the first time we’ve offered four different posters for one milestone,” said Felicia Houston, director of operations and creative services for Festival Country, and the creator of the posters and puzzle. “The posters look great individually or displayed together.”

Posters are $5 each, or $15 for the four-poster set. Puzzles are $10.

“We want to do our part to help residents and visitors remember our nation’s semiquincentennial,” said Kenneth Kosky, executive director of tourism for Festival Country. “We have a 250th exhibit in our visitor center with a Statue of Liberty photo opportunity, and we will keep our website updated with all the parades and other local events for the 250th once the plans are finalized.”
