INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person was critically injured in a shooting on the city’s near north side Saturday, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Around 7:18 p.m. Saturday, IMPD officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Central Avenue on a report of a person shot. That is a residential area on the city’s near north side. Officers arrived and found a person with gunshot wounds.
The injured person was reported to be in critical but stable condition.
A person of interest was detained at the scene, but their involvement is unclear at this time.
Investigators did not immediately provide any additional information on this incident.
