INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Taylor had a huge game in the win against the Denver Broncos, totaling 215 yards and a touchdown. He had 25 carries for 165 yards and two catches for 50 yards and a touchdown.
It was the fifth time in his career that Taylor has eclipsed 200 total yards and a touchdown in a game. That ties Edgerrin James for the most in franchise history.
Taylor was the first Colt to have at least 150 yards on the ground and at least 50 receiving yards in a game since Marshall Faulk in the 1998.
It was also Taylor’s seventh straight game with at least 70 rushing yards, which is the longest streak in the league.
This is the fourth time that Taylor has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
The Colts will look to continue their success on Sunday on the road against the Tennessee Titans. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
