PENDLETON, Ind. (WISH) — Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on South State Road 67 near Pendleton, Indiana, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators believe a black 2011 Nissan Titan was driving north in the 5500 block of South State Road 67 at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday when it struck a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon head-on. Early indications show the Nissan crossed over into the southbound lane prior to the collision.
The driver (man) and the passenger (woman) of the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver (man) of the Jeep was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson, where he was later pronounced dead.
There were no other people or vehicles involved in the incident.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department will release the identities of the victims after proper family notifications have been made.
