INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Tickets for the Athenaeum Foundation’s 17th annual GermanFest are finally on sale!
The festival will bring an audience from far and wide to celebrate German-American Day from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.
“Every year, GermanFest is a wonderful reminder of traditions and history that German immigrants have brought not only to America but central Indiana in particular,” said Craig Mince, Athenaeum Foundation’s president and chief executive officer.
Activities and food will be circling the Athenaeum, with the main entry gate located on Michigan Street near East Street. Festivities include German folk music and dance, games, traditional German food and beverages, a Kinderland for children, and the return of the popular wiener dog races.
Adult tickets are priced at $18 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. Children’s tickets are $10 for ages 4-12. Kids under 3 get in free.
Tickets are limited and expected to sell quickly.
