Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke holds town hall in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke was in the Circle City Sunday afternoon for a Powered by People event.
The free town hall brought Democrats together at the Stutz. He told Hoosiers that democratic leadership has forgotten Hoosiers – and says red-state Democrats still matter.
Indiana Democratic Congressman André Carson also spoke at the event.
O’Rourke’s town hall comes a day before Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith is expected to hear from Hoosiers in Terre Haute.
It starts at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Vigo County Council annex on Oak Street.
The event is part of Beckwith’s goal to visit all of the state’s 92 counties to discuss Indiana issues.
