INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White said she anticipates Caitlin Clark will be available on Wednesday against the Golden State Valkyries, as long as there are no setbacks.
Clark said she hopes to play a decent amount in the game.
Clark has missed the last five games due to a left groin injury.
While she was out, the Fever went 3-2, which included a win against the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup championship game.
Overall, Clark has missed 10 games on the season for the Fever. She missed five games earlier in the season with a left quad injury.
Clark has averaged 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.9 assists per game this season in nine games.
Clark was selected to be an All-Star captain. Her team, which she drafted, will be released on Tuesday night. The WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Tipoff against the Valkyries on Wednesday is scheduled for 12 p.m. Eastern at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
