INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — If you would like to send a message to injured Pacers star guard, Tyrese Haliburton, a get-well-soon campaign is underway.
The campaign is called “Hearts for Hali.” The Indiana Pacers rolled it out online on Wednesday.
The Pacers said, “Tyrese Haliburton gave us everything this season — heart, hustle, and unforgettable moments. Now, it’s our turn to give back.”
They’re asking fans to send videos, photos, or messages of support between now and the end of July.
You can send your message through the team’s website here or mail it to 125 S. Pennsylvania St. in care of the Pacers.
Haliburton fell to the ground in pain in the first quarter of Game 7 in the NBA Finals with a torn Achilles. He was seen slamming the floor and yelling, “No! No!”
Haliburton did not return to the game and it is not likely he will return for next season. He underwent surgery for the injury in late June.
“Obviously very unlikely that he’ll play at all next year,” Head Coach Rick Carlisle said. “I don’t think I’m speaking out of school as a non-medical person.”
Carlisle called his star guard after he got out of surgery.
“He answered the phone on the first half ring, and he said, ‘Hey, coach, how are you doing?’” Carlisle said. “He sounded totally upbeat. And I said, ‘I’m doing great, how are you doing?’ And he goes, ‘I’m going to be good. I’m going to be good.’”
