INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Firefighters say the search is set to resume Monday morning for a 14-year-old boy who likely drowned on the northeast side.
The Indianapolis Fire Department says the boy hopped off a pontoon boat to swim in Lake Kesslerwood Sunday evening, but he did not resurface.
IFD and the Fishers Fire Department launched dive teams and other rescue crews, but had to leave the water because of lightning in the area.
Firefighters say crews later transitioned from a dive rescue to a body recovery.
The search was suspended just after 10 p.m.
IFD did not say when crews would hit the water on Monday.
