Yocrunch recall
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Before you bite into your next breakfast or snack, be aware of a yogurt recall. The company that makes YoCrunch is pulling it off shelves and asking you not to eat it.
YoCrunch comes in two parts: A cup of yogurt and a dome lid that holds mix-in toppings. Varieties include Twix, Oreo, Snickers, Granola, M&M, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
The recall affects all of them.
According to Danone and the Food and Drug Administration, there is no danger from the yogurt in the packages, but there may be sharp pieces of plastic in the dome section. The company says the plastic pieces are sharp and could caise someone to choke.
Danone says in the news release announcing the recall, “The company is working swiftly with retail partners to remove the impacted product from shelves, while it works to address the issue and bring back the YoCrunch products so many people enjoy.”
The company is pulling from the shelves all flavors and sizes that have expiration dates are between early July and early September.
Danone says that if you have YoCrunch, you should throw it away or reach out for a refund. You can reach the company’s consumer care line at 1-877-344-4886.
