INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A shooting near a northwest side discount store Saturday evening has left a person dead, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim’s age and gender have not been released.
Online police reports show IMPD officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of Michigan Road around 5:40 p.m. on a report of a person shot. That block is in a business area with a Family Dollar, gas stations, a U-Haul location, and more.
There, they located the victim suffering a gunshot wound. They died at the scene.
Police did not say if there were any suspects or what led up to the shooting. A public information officer was expected to release from information sometime Sunday evening.
