MOUNT COMFORT, Ind. (WISH) — A paraglider was taken to a hospital Monday night after emergency crews were sent to the Indianapolis Regional Airport for an aircraft crash, Hancock County dispatchers tell News 8.
No information was immediately available on the paraglider, or the severity of the injuries.
Buck Creek Township Fire Department took the paraglider to Indiana University Health Methodist hospital in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Airport Authority was investigating.
Hancock County dispatchers received a 911 call on a person trapped in a paraglider aircraft at 8:40 p.m. Monday.
Previously known as Mount Comfort Airport, the facility is a general aviation reliever for Indianapolis International Airport. It has two runways and houses aircraft.
