PORTLAND (WISH) — Alex Palou proved once again this season that he is extremely difficult to stop.
The Chip Ganassi Racing driver finished in third on Sunday at the BITNILE.com Grand Prix of Portland to clinch the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series championship. It’s his fourth series title in the last five seasons. It’s also his third straight championship.
The only other driver on Sunday who was still mathematically alive for the title was Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward. O’Ward had a car issue though and ended up finishing in 25th.
Will Power won the race, the first victory for Team Penske this season.
The 2025 season has just two races left, one at Milwaukee Mile on Aug. 24 and then the finale at Nashville Superspeedway on Aug. 31.
