INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s an NBA Finals rematch! The Indiana Pacers will start the 2025-26 season at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the NBA announced Tuesday.
The Pacers will host the Thunder at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
It will be the first game of the season for the Pacers, who captured the second Eastern Conference championship in franchise history last season and pushed the Thunder to seven games in the NBA Finals. It will be the second game of the season for OKC, who will host Houston on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
The Pacers-Thunder game will be televised nationally.
The Pacers went 2-1 against the Thunder at home during the 2025 NBA Finals, taking Games 3 and 6 in dramatic fashion, but dropping Game 4. Indiana started the best-of-seven series by winning Game 1 in Oklahoma City, but the Thunder prevailed in their next three home games, including a 103-91 victory in Game 7 to secure the championship.
The full schedule for the 2025-26 season will be announced Thursday.
