INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man with prior convictions was arrested by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department for threatening his renter with a gun.
July 6, IMPD officers say they were called to a home in the 3400 block of Beasley Drive, on the west side of Indianapolis near West 34th Street and Georgetown Road.
When they arrived, officers say 55-year-old Allan Polk, the homeowner, had pointed a gun at the person who was renting a room from Polk.
Polk is said to have threatened the renter “for coming home late.”
During the investigation, IMPD discovered that Polk had prior convictions which outlawed him from having a gun. A search of the home found two semi-automatic handguns, a loaded high-capacity magazine and extra ammunition. IMPD says one of the guns was stolen.
Polk was arrested and charged with four felonies for possessing a gun as a serious violent felon and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
