INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A shooting involving juveniles and young adults injured a man Monday at a shopping center at East 38th Street and North Mitthoefer Road on the east side of Indianapolis, police said.
The injured man was last reported to be stable, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said. His name and age were not publicly shared Monday night.
IMPD was called to a report of a person shot just before 8:15 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Raintree Commons shopping center, on the southwest corner of 38th and Mitthoefer.
A disturbance involving at least two or three juveniles and some young adults preceded the shooting. An IMPD captain said many of the people involved fled after the shooting. Investigators were working to get descriptions of the people involved in the disturbance.
