FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — Fort Wayne Police Department investigators on Thursday arrested a 63-year-old man for the 2015 murder of a 67-year-old man.
On Thursday, Fort Wayne officers arrested 63-year-old Raphael M. Helton on an arrest warrant for murder in the 100 block of West Baker Street. This arrest warrant was issued in connection with the homicide of 67-year-old Michael J. Fedock, who was found murdered at a residence in the 200 block of West Woodland Avenue on March 28, 2015.
Helton is being preliminarily charged with murder, and he is confined at the Allen County Jail. He is being held without bond.
On March 28, 2015, a correctional officer noticed a foul odor while questioning people in the residence during a scheduled visit.
Questioning led the officer to go to the upstairs bedroom, where he found Fedock’s body in a closet.
In June 2015, 58-year-old Barbara Ann Helton was charged with violating probation. Until Thursday, no other arrests were made in connection to Fedock’s death.
