INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Organizers of the WNBA All-Star Game didn’t have to look very far to find the player who will replace Caitlin Clark in the STARRY 3-Point Contest Friday night.
Clark’s Indiana Fever teammate, fourth-year guard Lexie Hull, will “pinch-hit” for Clark, who announced Thursday that she would miss both the 3-point contest and the All-Star Game with a right groin injury.
It’s Hull’s first involvement of any kind at the WNBA All-Star weekend.
Halfway through the season, Hull holds the league’s fourth-highest three-point percentage, scoring 29 of her 29 of her 62 attempts for 46.8%.
Hull will compete against Sonia Citron (Washington Mystics), Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream), Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty) and Kelsey Plum (LA Sparks) as the lone non-All-Star participant. Grey and Ionescu enter Friday night as the past two winners, winning in 2025 and 2024, respectively.
