INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis AlleyCats (0-2) are back in action Saturday at 6 p.m. hosting the Detroit Mechanix (0-1) at Kuntz Stadium. Both teams are hungry for their first win of the season.
The AlleyCats and Mechanix both suffered season-opening losses to the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds (2-0). The AlleyCats put up a stronger fight in comparison, scoring 21 points to the Mechanix’s 17.
In their most recent outing, the Indy-based ultimate frisbee team faced off against reigning champion Minnesota Windchill — a match that ended in a 32-17 defeat.
The AlleyCats look to liven up their game against the Mechanix by celebrating Indianapolis’ racing culture. With the Indy 500’s green flag waving the next day, the first 250 fans through the gates of Kuntz Stadium will receive a mini checkered flag.
Tickets for Saturday’s game start at $15.
