INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are investigating the death of a missing child on the city’s northeast side.
Around 6:49 p.m. Sunday, IMPD officers responded to a report of a missing child in the 5600 block of Wyckfield Way. That is the location of an apartment complex on the city’s northeast side. Officers arrived and found the child unresponsive near a body of water. Officers attempted life-saving measures and the child was transported to an area hospital by medics in critical condition.
A short time later, the child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators did not immediately provide any additional information on this incident.
