INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A juvenile was stabbed Friday night at Castleton Square Mall, Indianapolis police said in an emailed news media notification.
The juvenile, who was not identified in the notification, was stable at a hospital. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department also did not disclose the juvenile’s gender or age.
The stabbing happened during a disturbance involving “multiple” people around 8:48 p.m. Friday at the shopping mall at 6020 E. 82nd St., the IMPD notification said.
The mall generally closes at 9 p.m. on Fridays.
Police said they believe officers detained all the people involved in the stabbing, without providing details.
The IMPD notification did not say in which part of the mall that the stabbing happened.
Simon Property Group owns the mall. News 8 reached out by phone on Friday night to Simon Property Group for comment but did not immediately hear back.
