INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We are not too far away from receiving a well deserved cooldown after we endured another slate of 90s the last few days.
There will be two fronts to track that pave the way for the return of pleasant weather.
Monday night: Additional scattered showers and storms look to develop into late tonight and early Tuesday morning. Best chance for activity will be near and north of interstate 70, although, a few showers could sneak south of interstate 70. Isolated stronger wind gusts also cannot be ruled out, but heavy rain and local flooding will be the main concerns.
Lows in the low 70s.
Tuesday: Scattered showers and storms will remain possible tomorrow ahead of the first of two fronts we’re tracking to move through our area in this forecast. Isolated strong to severe storm potential is also on the table with damaging wind being the main concern.
Highs will top out in the upper 80s. Peak heat index values are expected to reach the upper 90s to lower 100s.
Wednesday: A little bit of a cooler day is ahead Wednesday, but the muggy meter will remain in uncomfortable territory. Highs will top out in the mid 80s.
7-Day Forecast: Temperatures will hang around the mid 80s through the end of the workweek and Saturday. The muggy meter will finally drop back in the comfortable category by Saturday night. We’re eyeing pleasant weather with below normal high temperatures heading into early next week.
